Corey Strickland, Ph.D.

Vice President, Molecular Technology

Dr. Corey Strickland joined SK Life Science Labs in 2021, and is the Vice President of Molecular Technology. Molecular Technology answers the biochemistry, biophysics, proteomics, and structural biology-related questions for drug discovery teams and provides research informatics/IT capabilities. Additionally, Corey plays a critical role in guiding the development of MOPED™, our platform to discover novel molecular glue degraders.

Before joining the company, Corey spent 26 years at Merck leading at various times structural biology (X-ray, bioNMR, cryoEM), computational chemistry, fragment-based drug discovery, and protein science. His work at Merck spanned multiple disease areas and ranged from lead identification to process development.

Corey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from The Pennsylvania State University and Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Cell Biology from Cornell University (Ph.D.). He is a co-author or co-inventor on more than 125 publications in peer-reviewed journals, invited lectures, and patents.
